For the Moonlight Rose fragrance, the house of Van Cleef & Arpels was inspired by a very special rare and luxurious rose: the Taïf rose. The result is an extraordinary and elegant composition for rose lovers in search of a unique fragrance.

The Taïf rose belongs to the genus of Damascene roses. Taïf is a town in Saudi Arabia, situated at an altitude of 2000m. Its unique climatic conditions make it a very special region for growing roses. To preserve their freshness, they must be harvested at dawn, before the first rays of sunlight alter their unique fragrance - a subtle blend of floral, honey and spicy notes.

In the top note, the floral freshness of geranium is enhanced by the effervescence of pink peppercorns. The majestic heart, characterized by two exceptional types of rose, is what makes this perfume unique. An intense and extravagant rose with heady spicy and honeyed nuances. The chypre notes, characterized by oakmoss and patchouli, underline the elegance and timelessness of this fragrance.
